Social Resposibility

 has been committed to support employment (direct and indirect employment) and improve the standard of living in the communities where it operates.  Within this scope,carried out following so far:  

Previously, Gördes Vocational High School faced the risk of being shut down due to not having its own building.  Under the leadership of "Gördes Yüksekokulu Öğrencilerine ve Okullarına Yardım Derneği" Foundation, Gördes Vocational High School had moved to its new building, which was constructed, in 2008. Funds required for construction of the new building were raised by the people of local community, businessmen and companies operating in the area, without utilization of state funds.

 as part of its “funding specific programs that align with community needs” commitment, took place in this great fundraising event at which local community, with great effort,  made it possible to complete the construction of school facilities before the beginning of academic year.

According to the information gathered from "Gördes Yüksekokulu Öğrencilerine ve Okullarına Yardım Derneği" Foundation, the new building was completed in 24 month time and with a total cost of 1.5 Million TL. The building sitting on 28 thousand square meters of land has 19 classrooms, a multifunctional auditorium, a lecture hall, offices for the lecturers and sport facilities for the students.

Ministry of Environment and Forestry started a reforestation campaign all around Turkey and the Balıkesir Regional Directorate of Forestry handled the operations in Balıkesir Region.   donated 25,000 TL for this campaign. 

At the end of this campaign 75,000 TL was raised and Balıkesir Regional Directorate of Forestry founded a 52 hectare forest, named as “1923 Cumhuriyet Ormanı", within the boundaries of İvrindi Sub District, in the area of Akçal and Soğanbükü Villages.
