In order to ensure the security and sustainability of the supply of critical raw materials crucial in the transition to the green and digital economy, the European Commission has developed the Critical Raw Materials Act. Nickel and cobalt minerals, as well as rare earth minerals such as Sc, are included in the European Critical Raw Materials List. In this context, we are part of the European Battery Alliance and the European Raw Materials Alliance, both established with the aim of creating a competitive and sustainable value chain for battery cell production in Europe, operating under the European Institute of Innovation and Technology.
